Aurora - As of January28,the ice in Marina, Senac, and Lonetree coves is 7-8” thick, 4-5” in the main reservoir. Fishing for trout has been fair, some smaller size walleyes have been caught. Keep drilling holes until you find the fish, especially if you’re fishing for perch. Anglers have been catching trout on chartreuse glow head jigs tipped with meal worms in 16 to 20 feet of water. For walleye, try jigging Rapalas. For updated conditions, contact Aurora Reservoir Park (303-690-1633).
