Conditions : Aurora Reservoir - Ice conditions range from zero to seven inches. The thickest ice will be in the back of the coves. Currently there is no open water for shore fishing. The water level is rising, please use extreme caution! Large pressure cracks run along the main body of the reservoir and open water pockets. Overall the fishing has slowed some however; we are still seeing trout being caught on jigs tipped with mealworms and wax worms. Perch of various sizes are being caught shallow in 8 to 15 feet of water using jigs tipped with wax and mealworms. The larger perch are being caught in deeper water from depths of 35 to 45 feet of water. No reports of walleye caught at this time. Pets are not permitted on the ice. For more information call 303-326-8425. January Park Hours 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
