: Arvada Reservoir - We have had two recent stockings of over 5000 rainbows in the 10 to 12 inch sizes. Fishing has been fair with some limits coming out while others are reporting poor success. Water levels have remained steady and the temperature has not risen too high because the outside temp has not been that hot. The smallmouth bass are still running with good catches being reported. Most favorable baits are jigs and different types of power baits. Garlic seems to be attracting the trout. Give it a try. Also, a moose has been spotted drinking at the lake so be on the lookout.
Aurora - Open to boating. Water temp 68 degrees. All watercraft must be inspected prior to launch in the lower parking lot at the entrance of the boat ramp. This includes all hand launched watercraft. Trout fishing has been slow to fair. Most fish being caught in the late morning to mid day. Try fishing deeper now that the water has warmed up! From the dam try using power bait from a slip rig casted out 40-50 yards! Boaters have been reporting success ranging from fair to good trolling with spoons, rapalas and crawlers for trout. Walleye action is reported as fair to good from boats trolling bottom bouncers with crawlers, jointed shad raps and jigs. Most walleye are under the 18" size limit. Some reports of yellow perch being caught in the marina cove using worms and jigs. All other species are slow or no reports. Restricted to electric motors only.
