About: -
Twelve Mile Lake is one of Iowa's top
bluegill, crappie and largemouth bass fisheries. The 600 acre lake is also known for a
quality walleye and channel catfish fishery. Numerous fishing tournaments are
held at the lake each year.
Rock piles were placed in the lake during construction and many trees left
standing in the lake basin results in excellent fish habitat. Fishing jetties
constructed around the lake provides for improved shoreline fishing
opportunities. Anglers fishing for extended periods can camp at nearby Green
Valley State Park or at the Three Mile Lake campgrounds. Motels are also
available in Creston.
Shoreline: 15.5 mi.
Mean depth: 15.1 ft.
Maximum depth: 44 ft. Boat access: 1 double lane ramp & 2 single lane ramps.
