Yellowstone National Park boundary to Highway 78 Bridge at Columbus Catch and Release Catch-and-release for cutthroat trout.
Emigrant Bridge to Pine Creek Bridge Special Limit Combined Trout Limit: 5 brown and rainbow trout, 4 under 13 inches and 1 over 22 inches. All brown trout and rainbow trout between 13 and 22 inches must be released.
Emigrant Bridge to Pine Creek Bridge Gear Restriction Artificial lures only, except anglers 14 years of age and younger may use bait.
Emigrant Bridge to Pine Creek Bridge Season Regulation Extended season for whitefish and catch-and-release for trout open December 1 to third Saturday in May with artifical lures and/or maggots only.
Highway 78 Bridge at Columbus to I-90 Bridge at Billings Special Limit Combined Trout Limit: 5 daily only 1 over 18 inches, includes cutthroat trout.
mouth of Clarks Fork to I-90 Bridge at Billings Gear Restriction Open entire year for up to 2 attended lines with up to 2 hooks per line.
mouth of Clarks Fork to I-90 Bridge at Billings Gear Restriction Live fish (except sculpin, salmonids, carp, goldfish, all species in the sunfish family, bullheads (catfish family), yellow perch, and rainbow smelt) may be used as bait (including feeder streams and ditches).
all tributaries to the Yellowstone River between the Yellowstone National Park boundary and Springdale approximately 18 miles east of Livingston, including the Shields River and its tributaries Catch and Release Catch-and-release for cutthroat trout.
