Joe's Valley Reservoir is nestled in a beautiful valley on the eastern slope of the Wasatch
Plateau. The shoreline is primarily owned by the Manti-La Sal National
Forest with some private property on the southwest shoreline. Fishing Joe's Valley is normally good and
features rainbow, cutthroat, splake, brown, and lake trout.
However, boating, and camping are other popular activities. There are several commercial facilities which include a marina,
general store, and restaurant located at the reservoir (providing gas, camp
equipment, fishing tackle, boats, minimal groceries, and boat storage). Near the
boat ramp is a trailer camping area with 17 sites available. Two campgrounds (46
site and 18 site) are located in an area on the west side of the reservoir. Fire
rings, standing grills, tables, vault toilets, water and asphalt pads are
available. Several fisherman parking areas and restroom facilities are located
at convenient places around the reservoir.
Location: The reservoir is located approximately 12 miles west of Orangeville, Utah.
It is accessible from U-10 near Castle Dale via U-57 on the south or U-29 on the north.
